3/30 Camp Kesem
For the first time children of cancer victims will have the chance to enjoy a special camping experience, called Camp Kesem. BYU is holding the 5 day camp at Camp Lomondi in Ogden, Utah the 4th through the 9th of August 2008. Like all other Camp Kesem camps around the country, the familyof the kids don't have to pay anything to go to camp. It is going to be great! 3/23 Power in You
First Lady of Utah, Mary Kaye Huntsman is celebrating the success of the Power in You program and asking for more teens and young adults to join her as Ambassadors. Power in You focuses on the emotional aspect of life-challenges and at-risk behavior in order to bring hope to teens and encourage them to fulfill their life and education potential. The Power in You youth-to-youth mentoring program is a chapter of the Utah Public Education Foundation as of November 2004.

3/9 SUSAN G KOMEN RACE FOR THE CURE
The Susan G. Komen Race for the CureŽ Series is the world's largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer. 2008 is the 25th anniversary of the Race Series. The series of 5K runs/fitness walks raises significant funds and awareness for the breast cancer movement, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. Since its origination in 1983, the Komen Race for the Cure Series has grown from one local Race in Dallas with 800 participants to a global series of more than 120 Races with more than 1.5 million people expected to participate in 2008. 3/2 HOMELESS TRUST FUND
The Pamela Atkinson Homeless Trust Fund (PAHTF), formerly known as the Homeless Trust Fund, has been administered by the Department of Community and Culture since 1983. Funded by the Utah State Legislature and by contributions made by individuals on their Utah Individual Income Tax Form TC-40, this money goes to fund various agencies statewide in moving people from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Funding from the PAHTF is a critical component in Utah's Ten-Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness.
